Fastest and most powerful small cars in India under Rs 10 lakh

With cars that are priced under Rs 10 lakh, 0-100 kmph figures aren’t exactly the first thing customers ask about. However, no one says no to an active engine and more power. Hence, we have brought together a list of six cars that are fast accelerating and under Rs 10 lakh.

Fiat Punto Abarth: The Italian manufacturer known for its madcap designs and tunings, Abarth had a go on Fiat Punto and the result is a hatchback for the Indian market that does 0-100 km/h in 8.8 seconds. The Punto Abarth is powered by 1368cc 16 valve T-Jet petrol engine that produces 145 hp at 5500 rpm and 212 Nm of torque in the range of 2000-4000 rpm, and is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. Price: Rs 9.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Ford Figo: AT: Powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, the Figo 1.5 Ti-VCT AT produces 110 bhp at 6300 rpm and 136 Nm at 4250 rpm and is paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Price is Rs 8.24 lakh (ex-showroom). Or, you could also opt for a 1498 cc diesel engine that makes 99 bhp and 215 Nm of torque, with a manual gearbox. Figo TDCi is priced at Rs 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Volkswagen Polo GT TDI: The Polo GT TDI is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cyclinder engine that churns out 108.4 hp and 250 Nm of torque at 1500-2500 rpm, and is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Price: Rs 9.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

EcoSport Titanium+ 1.0L EcoBoost Black Edition: The EcoSport EcoBoost Black Edition is powered by a 999 cc that develops 124 bhp @ 6000 rpm and 170 Nm @ 1400 rpm. It is paired to five-speed manual transmission. Price: Rs 9.63 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)

Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS 1.0: The Baleno RS comes with a 998 cc engine producing 101 bhp at 5500 rpm and 150 Nm at 1700 rpm, and is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.
